Perfume Review: Chergui, Serge Lutens

Muitas vezes o inesperado nos traz boas surpresas. Confesso que não tinha a menor idéia de qual perfume selecionar para a crítica de hoje, mas como nem só de programação seletiva vive o homem, em busca de algo confortável e quente dentro de um limite não agressivo ao meu olfato, e de algum perfume adequado para um dia nublado e levemente fresco, quem sabe uma rajada extasiante de cor a uma tarde cinza chumbo, encontrei um grande tesouro perfumado. Em meio a inúmeras samples de fragrâncias descubro uma que nunca tinha sentido, nem ao menos notado sua delicada beleza, identificada por Chergui.

Morocco Tobacco

Um encantador acorde repleto de dulçor e leveza traz imagens desconexas de tecidos fluídos se movendo sob rajadas contínuas de um vento morno e desértico, notas entrelaçadas de tabaco, mel e rosa são as responsáveis por essa deliciosa harmonia de formas e movimento. Essa fluidez faz o perfume tornar-se cada vez mais interessante com o passar do tempo, a doçura inicial permanece na pele se mesclando a uma íris discreta e levemente powdery que finaliza o primeiro ato de Chergui  sobre a pele.

Sob uma cadência constante o perfume continua vivo e caminha lentamente para uma fase um pouco mais quente, leve toques de âmbar começam a aparecer trazendo consigo um musk de excelente qualidade, esse dueto animálico não é carnal no sentido sexual, ao contrário disso, o musk e âmbar de Chergui traduzem a faceta sofisticada de apreciar um quadro repleto de cor e formas, uma distorção entre o que somos e como nos vemos, neste caso, sob o conceito de Lutens o que seriam os acordes animálicos em um apelo sexual se tornam mais elegantes.

Morocco Sand

Toda essa beleza  é multifacetada. Além do confortável calor do âmbar e do musk, começa a surgir o acorde amadeirado de sândalo, levemente balsâmico, trazendo uma orientalidade mais intensa e noturna, os tecidos fluídos agora servem de adorno a corpos de pele morena que refletem sobre seus suores a luz de uma clara noite de luar intenso. Um acorde nebuloso vindo em nuvens de doce  incenso  são claramente notadas nesse momento o que deixa Chergui ainda mais fascinante.

Chergui consegue expressar originalidade de modo artisticamente perfeito, trazendo em seu cheiro uma miscelânea de sensações que variam e vibram de diferentes formas. O movimento neste perfume é constante, não há como negar que o perfume modifica-se e cria vida independente do usuário, em um mesmo dia Chergui pode possuir mil cheiros diferentes, mas todos possuirão a característica única do conforto, do calor e da sofisticação de notas muito bem trabalhadas para a obtenção de um mix digno de um pedestal em um museu de artes. O conceito criativo de Lutens consegue mais uma vez liderar o magnífico Christopher Sheldrake a criar não somente uma fragrância feita para vender, mas sim uma expressão de arte e sentimento, capaz de induzir o espectador desse espetáculo olfativo a estados alterados de consciência de si e do mundo à sua volta.

Many times an unexpected moment bring us good surprises. I confess that I had no idea what perfume should I select for today's review, but the man does not need to live with an established plan, then I looked for something  fragrant that would be comfortable and warm under a not annoying limit to my olfaction, some suitable perfume for a cloudy and softly fresh day,  from a coloured breeze to a leaden evening, I found  my precious fragrant treasure. In the middle of some perfume samples, I discovered one that I had never smelt, neither had never noticed its delicate beauty, named as Chergui.

An enchanting accord, sweet and light brings some disconnected images of fabrics moving under continuous soft and desertic breeze, notes interlaced by tobacco, honey and rose are responsible by this delightful harmony of forms and movement. This fluidness makes the perfume becoming more interesting in the course of the time, the initial sweetness is kept on the skin  and is blended to a subtle iris, slightly powdery that ends the first performance of   Chergui  on the skin.

Under a continuous cadence the perfume still is lively and develops slowly to a warmer phase with soft touches of amber that start to appear bringing  an excellent high quality musk, this animalic duet is not carnal under a sexual meaning, on the contrary, the musk and the amber together translate the sophisticated facet of admiring a painting filled by colors and forms, a   deformation between what we are and how we see us, in this case, what would be scentfully animalic with a sexual appeal, under the concept of Lutens they are modified to something more elegant, very well done with its delicateness scented trace.


All this beauty is multifaceted, besides the comfortable warmth of the amber and the musk,  the sandalwood filled by a balsamic tone brings an intense and nocturnal facet, now soft fabrics adornated  dark skins that  have reflected on their sweat the light of a clear night of intense moonshine. A misterious accord appears as clouds of sweet incense which is clearly notable in this moment that let Chergui more and more fascinating.


Chergui is successful in expressing originality in an artistically perfect way, featuring in its scent a miscellaneous of sensations that varies and vibrate in different forms. The movement of this perfume is continuous, undoubtedly the perfume changes and creates life in an independent way, apart from its wearer, in one same day Chergui can possess thousand of different scents, but all have an unique comfort characteristic, warmth and sophistication in its well made mix that really deserves being in an Art museum. The creative concept of Lutens could one more time to lead the magnific Christopher Sheldrake to create not only a fragrance to be sold, but an art and a feeling expression, able of tempting the wearer of this  olfactive spectacle to changing states of  the perception about himself/herself and the world around.

Dior Escale à Portofino is the first fragrance of this range, created in 2008 and inspired by the port located in North of Italy, traditional and fascinating destiny to express the refinement of the Italian freshness.

Development: Escale à Portofino is the most genuine expression of what Italy has as its best in terms of scents and aroma influences: the beauty, the glamour, the unique fashion style and the joie vivre through its acclaimed refreshing scent, at the same time, comfortable and energic, simple and luxurious. This perfume has the minimalism of the elegance based in a high quality of raw materials with refined essences, mainly the citrusy ones and from Mediterranean sources such as the Sicilian lemon and the green woody accords of cypress which provide a touch of identity with the Italy. Perfume Review: Une Rose Chyprée, Tauer Perfumes

Part of Niche perfumes for a High-End Spring,

Tauer combina em muitos aspectos com o Perfume da Rosa Negra, um desses  aspectos principais está na  poesia impressa nos aromas, do mesmo modo que damos uma dinâmica poética  à maioria de nossos reviews, Tauer traz para seus perfumes esse romantismo, drama e mistério que só algumas Artes podem evocar.

Une Rose Chyprée é uma criação atual, lançado em meados de 2009 no  mercado, pela coleção denominada “Mèmorables”, um segmento apartado dos outros perfumes da mesma marca que tem como “début”, trazer um ar vintage para a marca, algo mais artístico, onde ousar possa ser a lei.  Neste perfume a visão oriental é acentuada, o simples toque na pele traz diferentes imagens do universo oriental e misterioso, tendo como  plano de fundo um céu negro e infinito coberto de pequenas luzes.

Une Rose Chyprée tem uma saída verde decorrente da Bay leaf note que  além de seu aroma caracteristicamente verde, mistura um aroma sutilmente especiado e apimentado, não obstante a esse exótico acorde aromático, surgem acordes cítricos balanceados, que não irritam nossas narinas, mas refrescam suavemente nossa peles, leves toques de canela  acentuam o caráter oriental da criação, mas até  este instante não se parece aos tons florais que são o centro do perfume.

Com uma evolução belíssima que mantém a força de difusão do aroma no  ar e a fixação na pele impecáveis, Une Rose Chyprée desabrocha em uma nota floral picante composta por rosa damascena, muito comum na perfumaria oriental tradicional, misturada a gerânios sensualmente  vermelhos, pontadas de frescor e calor misturam-se as demais especiarias da base, que é composta por laudáno, vetiver, patchuli e baunilha  aromática.  Tauer resgata com perfeição o acorde chypre pairante entre  patchuli, musgo de carvalho e bergamota, misturando uma rosa lindamente oriental e picante a essa memorável fragrância .  

Esta criação se aproxima muito dos tradicionais Attares orientais (perfumes compostos de poucas notas em óleo precioso e denso, sem adição de álcool e na maioria das vezes sem componentes sintéticos)  pela sua harmonia entre o calor especiado e os delicados frescor e doçura das outras notas; uma beleza quase natural é encontrada em Une Chyprée Rose, a potência das especiarias e do incenso aliada à  delicadeza da rosa damascena e a doçura balsâmica e aromática de uma baunilha de qualidade excepcional, que torna o perfume  confortavelmente ameno em contato com a pele.

O diferencial de Une Rose Chyprée está no poder que Andy teve de domar acordes que poderiam facilmente confundir-se pela sua potência, mas surpreendentemente isto não acontece, pois o equilíbrio de matérias primas foi pensado para pairar sobre a pele e não para aderir e incomodar o olfato. Uma rosa vintage, romântica e oriental, uma rajada de calor em uma noite fria do deserto, a luz pálida das estrelas em um céu de ébano.

Tauer combines in many aspects with Perfume da Rosa Negra, one of them is in his poetry in composing his scents, as we include a poetic dynamic in our reviews, Tauer brings to his perfumes this  romanticism, drama and mystery that only some Arts may evoke.

Une Rose Chyprée is his recent fragrance creation, released in 2009 by the collection named "Mèmorables" one segment apart from the other perfumes from his range and has a "dèbut" based in bringing the vintage air to the brand, something more artistic where to dare may be the law. In  this perfume, the oriental vision is stronger, the simple touch of the scent on skin pictures different images of the Oriental mysterious universe, having as  background the dark sky and the infinity covered by small lights.

Une Rose Chyprée has a green opening pronounced by the Bay leaf note which, in addition to its characteristically green smell, blends the subtlely spicy and peppery scent, not only this exotic aromatic accord but also balanced citrusy accords come which don't bother our noses, but refresh softly our skins with light touches of cinnamon emphasizing the oriental character of the creation, but until this moment,  does not seem to the floral tones which are the center of the perfume.

With a stunning development that  keeps the strength diffusion of the scent in the air and the impeccable long lasting power on skin, Une Rose Chyprée unfolds with a floral spicy note composed by Damascena rose, very commom in the traditional East perfumery, blended to geraniums sensually red,  twinges of freshness and warmth are mixed to spices of the base, which is also composed by ladanum, vetiver, patchouli and aromatic vanilla. Tauer  fulfills perfectly the chypre accord hovering between patchouli, oakmoss and bergamot, blending beautifully a oriental and spicy rose to this memorable fragrance. 

 

This composition is very close to traditional oriental attars (perfumes composed of a few notes in  precious and dense oils, containing non-alcohol and in most cases without synthetic components) by  its harmony of spicy warmth and delicate freshness and sweetness of other notes; an almost natural beauty is found in Une Rose Chyprée, the power of spices and incense combined with the tenderness of  damascena rose  and the balsamic and aromatic sweetness of the outstanding quality vanilla, which becomes the perfume comfortably soft in contact with the skin.

The distinctive quality of Une Rose Chyprée is the power that Andy has in taming accords which would be easily confused by their strenght,but surprisingly this does not happen, because the balance of raw  materials was very well thought to hover on skin and not to adhere as bothering the olfaction. A vintage rose, romantic and oriental, a blast  of warmth in a cold night in the desert, the pale light of stars in  an ebony sky.

Assim é a atmosfera conceitual de Idylle, a nova fragrância da legendária perfume house Guerlain criado por Thierry Wasser, perfumista in-house sucessor do master Jean-Paul Guerlain. Danae e Zeus, Titian/ Danae and Zeus, Titian

O início é deliciosamente fresco floral, com tons frutais de framboesa, pêonias e litchia apaixonantes como irresistíveis frutas vermelhas em forma de flor, harmonicamente combinados para seduzir com o primeiro sentir Idylle . Esta entrada, refinada e ao mesmo tempo angelical, abre um toque de jasmim romântico e sedutor,  tão antagônico, como aquela elusiva e tênue faceta  entre o ingênuo e o prazeroso. O desejo pelo sonho de amor Idílico, entre rosas, lírios e jasmins é inevitável. Beijar o bouquet floral de pétalas molhadas levemente frutadas e adocicadas é  como sentir o beijo de Zeus na gota dourada da chuva  que caí sobre meus lábios de amor, ambiguamente, meigo e excitante à medida que o acorde chypre maravilhosamente bem destacado na intimidade do musk branco e dos lírios é exaltado no drydown.

Idylle é daqueles bouquet florais evocativos de mitos, ternamente mais "puros" ainda que provoquem sensações de prazer nada puras.  No final do desenvolvimento, ele me faz lembrar a sensualidade, metade humana, metade divina, de fragrâncias como Narciso Rodriguez for her (no musk) e  Serge Lutens Un Lys(nos lírios), femininas e sublimes. Ela é, de fato, humana e divina, assim como o mito de Zeus e Danae, do Deus e da jovem princesa que, impedidos de viver o amor na realidade, após o aprisionamento de Danae em uma torre de bronze pelo seu pai, Rei Acácio, ainda assim, eles vivem o sonho de amor com os sentimentos e os desdobramentos humanos.

Idylle tem esta beleza singela, emocionalmente cativante de florais etéreos e delicados que, no profundo de sua alma perfumada guarda os segredos do prazer carnal. É uma fragrância inocente, mas ao mesmo tempo é sobre perda da inocência, assim como Danae que, sendo virgem, foi revelada em prazeres com a aparição de Zeus em forma de chuva de ouro. A mesma chuva de ouro que aparece no comercial de Idylle, tocando a pele de Nora Arnezeder que é levada ao prazer de sentir o perfume, de amá-lo e ser amada por ele.  Zeus toca Danae; Zeus a ama, a penetra e faz dela mulher. Idylle toca a minha pele; Idylle me ama, penetra meus poros a fazer sentir-me mais mulher. Idylle é meu Zeus, meu perfume, meu amor.

The eternal celebration of the eternal love from a woman with her perfume through other metaphorically love story: the one of Zeus, who transformed himself in golden rain to come to seduce the young princess Danae.

The perfume has in its more clean, more modern, younger, sensually ethereal delicateness its better distinguishable feature in comparison  to Guerlain classics. In this Idylle, is like to imagine Guerlain falling in love by a new way of making perfumes, aligned to the commercial need of contemporaneity, even so they keep the classical chypre accord, so memorable in unforgettable fragrances of the brand. Idylle  has this magie of living the fragrant dream of flowers petails blooming to a new reality, opening a new possibility of living the love, also for Guerlain.

Its starting is delightfully fresh floral with passionate fruity tones of raspberry, peonies and litchee like irresistible red fruits in form of flower; they are harmonically combined to seduce with the first Idylle sniff. This opening, refined and, at the same time, angelical opens a touch of a romantic and seductive jasmine, so ambiguous, like that elusive and tenuous facet between what is ingenuous and also pleasurable. The desire for the Idylle's dream love, among roses, lilies and jasmines is unavoidable. Kissing the floral bouquet of wet petails slightly fruity and sweet is like to feel the kiss of Zeus in the golden rain's drop which falls down on my lips of love, ambiguously, tender and exciting in proportion that the chypre accord wonderfully well highlighted in the intimacy of the white musk and lilies is praised in the drydown. 

Idylle is among those evocative floral bouquets from myths, tenderly purer and yet, able of provoking pleasure sensations which are not pure. At the end of the development, the scent makes me remind of the sensuality , half human, half divine, of fragrances such as Narciso Rodriguez for her (in the musk) and Serge Lutens Un Lys(in lírios), feminine and sublime. Indeed, Idylle is human and divine, as well as the myth of Zeus and Danae, of the God and the young princess who are not allowed of living the love in the reality, after Danae is prisoned in a bronze tower by her father, the King Acacio, even so they live the dream of love with its feelings and human unfoldings.

Idyllehas this sincere beauty, emotionally captivating of ethereal and delicate florals that, in the deep of their fragrant souls keep the secrets of the carnal pleasure. It is an innocent fragrance, but at the same time, is about the loss of the innocence, as well as Danae who, being a virgin, was revealed in pleasures with the apparition of Zeus coming in a shower of gold. The same golden rain which appears in the advertisement of Idylle touching the skin of  Nora Arnezeder whose senses are indulged by the pleasure of smelling and feeling the perfume, of loving it and be loved by the scent. Zeus touches Danae; Zeus loves her, penetrates her and become her a woman. Idylle touches my skin; Idylle loves me, penetrates in my skin pores and make me feel more and more a woman. Idylle is my Zeus, my perfume, my love.

Minha experiência com a fragrância foi fascinante e surpreendente, ambiguamente deliciosa, um frisson sem igual. O primeiro contato foi exatamente aquela sensação de mirar um homem na multidão, de uma beleza que sempre foi imaginativa e se tornou, de forma inesperada, real. A reação imediata é ficar com os olhos fixados nele, e sentir meu corpo sentindo a intensidade deste mirar: lábios entreabertos, a pele semi aquecida, as mãos tensamente molhadas. Sua beleza, comercialmente aceita e suspirada por tantas mulheres: naturalmente lindo, bem-sucedido, culto, inteligente e sensual. Por outro lado, capaz de provocar a ambiguidade de não ser nada óbvio, totalmente diferente de outros homens comuns e sem expressividade, ele é um homem com cheiro Gucci, o único capaz de deixar um mulher de joelhos na mais luxuosa das formas.


A abertura de notas de ciprestres é belíssima porque, embora a fragrância abre esta faceta aromática mais fria remetendo às nobres madeiras européias, de repente, emaranhado no meio destes sedutores acordes verde amadeirados, surge uma nuance mágica apimentada que marcou meu memorável momento. É como se, naquele instante, o homem olhasse para mim, com seus olhos profundos, quase luminosos, afirmando que por trás daquele requinte formal dos ciprestres, há um desejo eminente pelo meu próprio calor.


Mais adiante, mais uma onda aromática, bem feita como uma fina costura de Gucci, folhas de tabaco misturadas ao incenso dão um toque imperdível ao diferencial de Gucci by Gucci pour Homme. A fragrância se apresenta como um diamante bem lapidado, espontaneamente trabalhado com acordes frios e quentes. As folhas de tabaco são originais e não exprimem o modelo vulgarmente atabacado no uso do tabaco, pesado e esfumaçado. Aqui as folhas são legítimas, como avistar áreas repletas do natural cheiro da matéria, pegá-las na mão, cheirá-las profundamente e, de forma análoga, imaginar como seriam as áreas verdes equestres das mansões do reinado Gucci. A nota de couro, embora muito discreta, completa esta visão sofisticada e simples da tradição da maison desde suas origens.

Gucci by Gucci pour Homme tem um incrível desenvolvimento, moderadamente sinuoso com refinamento, com matérias primas espontamente aromáticas, bem leves, porém igualmente marcantes. Uma fragrância exata do que imagino ser o homem Gucci. Aquele homem que não se esforça em ter bom gosto porque esta é a sua própria marca pessoal. Aquele homem cujo perfume é como um raro diamante que faz mulheres se apaixonarem por seu poder de atração única. Gucci by Gucci pour Homme is sublime because of the good taste employed in the composition. Extremely multifaceted, mixing the refinement of cypress and authentic tobacco leaves, the mystery of incense, the beauty of a subtle floral bouquet, the seduction of the rose pepper and the sophisticated woods and resins. The perfume opens top notes of bergamot, cypress and violet, a heart filled by tobacco leaves and jasmine and base notes of patchouli, amber, incense and leather. The advertisement has as pub the charmous actor James Franco, considered the James' Dean of the modernity who, elegantly dressed by Gucci, goes women wild staring his beautiful image while Slave to love, the classical song of Bryan Ferry sung by the sexy voice of Róisin Murphy is played.


My experience with the fragrance was fascinating and remarkable, ambiguously delicious. The first contact was exactly that sensation of looking at a man in the crowd, a man whose beauty was always imaginative and, in an unexpected way, becomes real. The sudden reaction is to stay staring him, having my lips slightly opened, the skin almost warm, the tense hands wet. His beauty, commercially accepted and suspired by so many women: a beauty naturally gorgeous, well succeed,cultured, intelligent and sensual. On the other hand, he is able to provoke the dubious feeling of staring that an unique man who is not obvious, totally different from others ordinary men without expression, he is a man wearing a Gucci scent, the unique man able to let a woman on her knees in the most luxurious way.


The start of cypress notes is delightful because, even though the fragrance opens a colder aromatic facet and reminds me of noble european woods, suddenly, in the middle of the seductive woodsy-green accords, comes a magical peppery nuance which becomes my moment memorable. It is like if, in that moment, the man looked at me, with her deep glance, almost luminous ,confirming that behind any formal sophistication of cypress, there is the high desire for my own warmth.


Later one more scented wave, well done like a fine sewing of a Gucci, tobacco leaves mixed up to the incense give the distinctive feature to Gucci by Gucci pour Homme. The fragrance presents itself such a well lapidated diamond, spontaneously sculptured with cold and warm accords. The tobacco leaves are original and don't express the ordinary pattern in the use of tobacco, heavy and smoky. Here leaves are genuine like to envision areas full of the natural scent of this compound, take them with the hands, smell them deeply and, in an analog way, imagine how would be the equestrian green areas of mansion in the Kingdom Gucci. The leathery accord , even if is subtle, completes the sophisticating and simple vision of the maison tradition since its origins.


Gucci by Gucci pour Homme has an amazing development, regularly sinuous with refinement, with raw materials spontaneously aromatic, very light yet equally remarkable. An exact fragrance how I imagine being the scent of Gucci man. That man that does not make huge efforts to have good taste because it is your personal brand. That man whose perfume is like a rare diamond that makes women fell in love by his unique attraction. That man who definitely is like a diamond: the best friend, the best lover, the best Gucci.
