O que parecia uma miragem há alguns anos virou uma sólida verdade, é com muito prazer que informo a vocês leitores do Perfume da Rosa Negra, que a CHANEL uma das marcas mais tradicionais da Haute Couture do mundo, abre sua primeira boutique  Parfums e Beauté em terras brasileiras, como também em terras latinoamericanas, com foco voltado para Perfumaria e Maquiagem. Esse  novo empreendimento está sediado mais precisamente no Shopping Leblon na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. 

Junto com a boutique não vieram apenas os perfumes e maquiagem como nas  lojas convencionais de cosméticos que conhecemos. Os conceitos de Christopher Sheldrake também vieram juntos, no tocante a um bar olfativo, a intenção do nose da Chanel é que o cliente possa sentir os perfumes de forma diferenciada em recipientes cerâmicos dispersos no espaço da loja como uma grande prateleira de bebidas de um bar, aquele que causa a melhor sensação é a provável compra. Esse tipo de experimentação diminui as barreiras provocadas pelo tradicional modelo em que o atendente é que indica o perfume, com ele o cliente pode escolher mais livremente o que mais lhe agradar. Puro luxo!

Outra grande novidade é a cobiçada linha exclusiva de fragrâncias também  disponível para venda, perfumes raros e de maior complexidade que alcançam um nicho específico do mercado, aqueles que colecionam aromas. Para nós do blog que vemos acompanhando a evolução do mercado brasileiro e mundial de fragrâncias, isso é uma valiosa conquista para o mercado brasileiro, uma formidável marca como Chanel abrir uma de suas boutiques em nosso país, o que se torna um chamariz para inúmeras outras marcas também seguirem esse exemplo. E que venham mais boutiques Chanel em outras partes de nosso país, quem sabe em nossa cosmopolita São Paulo daqui há alguns meses. Surpresa!

What seemed an illusion for some years becomes a solid truth, I have the pleasure of informing Perfume da Rosa Negra 's readers that the CHANEL one of the most traditional  Haute Couture brands in the world has opened its first Parfums and Beauté boutique in Brazilian lands, as well as in Latin American ones, focused on Perfumery and Make up segment. This new entrepreneurship initiative is located precisely in Leblon Mall in Rio de Janeiro city.

Not only perfumes and makeup  as we  can find in cosmetics traditional stores arrive with the new Chanel boutique,  Christopher Sheldrake's concepts  also come as for example the olfactory bar, the intention of Chanel perfumer is to offer customers the chance of smelling the perfumes in a distinguishable way in ceramic recipients dispersed in the interior of the store like a big shelf of drinks in a bar, that perfume which causes the best impression is likely to be the purchase. This new type of sampling reduces the barriers provoked by the traditional model in which a salesperson indicates the perfume, with this new option of smelling a scent the customer can choose freely the perfume that most please him/her. Pure luxury!

Other great new is the desired exclusive fragrances range that is also avaliable for sales, rare perfumes  with better complexity that have reached an especific market niche, those that collect scents. For us here who have followed the evolution of the Brazilian and world fragrances market, this is a valuable achievement for the Brazilian market, a splendid brand as Chanel opening its boutiques in our country, what becomes an example for inumerous others brands that wish to follow Chanel initiative. And that come more Chanel boutiques in others parts of the country, who knows the next one be in our cosmopolitan São Paulo in some months. Surprise!

Background:    O mais recente lançamento de Dior em homenagem aos mais belos destinos do mundo  é a segunda fragrância da Coleção Croisière, lançada em 2009, Dior Escale à Pondichery, evocando a Índia. Pondichery  é uma das regiões costeiras do país, uma antiga colônia francesa próximo a Tamil Nadu, com uma elegante ambientação mediterrânea de influências romana, indiana e francesa, o que provê-lhe uma atmosfera ornamentalmente clássica engedrado por uma localização exótica. A fragrância continua destacando o frescor de matérias primas de alta qualidade  que, desta vez, recebem as influências aromáticas da região como cardamomo, o sândalo e chá preto.

Desenvolvimento: Escale à Pondichery é previsível para aqueles que estão familiarizados com o conceito de frescor da Cruise Collection e que já tenham experimentado e/ou usado Escale à Portofino, no entanto, do contrário de seu antecessor, este perfume falha bastante o conceito da coleção, a começar porque perde o seu poder refrescante e de perceptibilidade de matérias primas selecionadas e, na prática, não faz as devidas referências olfativas à Índia. François Demachy, perfumista mestre da maison, manteve a abertura refinada de um acorde refrescante de limão, no entanto, não tão cítrico como Escale à Portofino. De imediato, há uma sensação de dejá vu como se o perfumista não tivesse alterado muito da composição, no entanto, logo se cheira a  influência asiática que recupera as notas de chá que dão o tom de frescor sem tornar a colônia luminosa, neste instante é como se o frescor fosse dissipado pela pele, mesclando perfume e água com um toque oriental e inexpressivo. Em seguida, o toque de cardamomo não é proeminente porque, sutilmente, é adicionado para dar uma nuance especiado verossímil à Escale à Pondichery, considerando que a especiaria, no Oriente, é utilizada para temperar bebidas quentes como o chá, o café e as infusões de folhas aromáticas (somente dar o sabor). Mais na base, o perfume se estabiliza como um fresco amadeirado, alinhando desta forma seu drydown ao costumeiro tipo de drydown das colônias clássicas.

O melhor da fragrância:  O perfume se mostra bem fundamentado olfativamente (infelizmente, somente na teoria) em função de suas referências aromáticas relacionadas às influências geográficas. A idéia de unir, com o frescor mediterrâneo, o chá (referência asiática), com o cardamomo (referência oriental), o jasmim sambac (referência francesa) e o sândalo (referência do sândalo de Tamil Nadu, extraído nesta região) é certamente o ponto forte deste cruzeiro perfumado, marcado por selecionadas matérias primas da região, ainda que decepcione um pouco na prática.

O pior da fragrância: O perfume não se prende a evocar acordes mais ressaltados destas referências indianas principalmente no tom especiado que acaba sendo mais diluído pelo frescor do chá, desta forma, não se sustenta como uma fragrância oriental mais expressiva sobre o destino ao qual se refere, principalmente em comparação ao seu vibrante antecessor, o Portofino. De fato, o perfume mantem o tradicionalismo de fragrâncias inspiradas por infusões de chá com toque de especiarias orientais e não se desvirtua do frescor mediterrâneo, porém bem simplista e nada cativante.

Drydown:   amadeirado refrescante

Notas: chá preto, cardamomo, madeira de sândalo e jasmim de Sambac.

Background:    The more recent  Dior perfume's release in homage of the most beautiful destinies in the world is the second fragrance belonging to the   Croisière Collection, released in 2009, Dior Escale à Pondichery evokes the India. Pondichery is one of the coast regions in this country, an old French colony next to Tamil Nadu, with an elegant mediterranean environment from roman, indian and french influences, what provides it an  classical ornamented atmosphere highlighted by an exotic location. The fragrance continues emphasizing the freshness of high quality raw materials that, in this version, has aromatic influences from the region such as cardamom, sandalwood and black tea.

Development: Escale à Pondichery is predictable for those who are familiarized with the freshness concept of  Cruise Collection and that have already sniffed or worn Escale à Portofino, however it is very different from its antecessor and in comparison to it, Escale à Pondichery fails a lot in the collection concept, starting from the fact that it loses its refreshing power and the perceptible strength of selective raw materials, moreover in practical way,  this scent does not made the  fair olfactive references to India. François Demachy, the master perfumer of the maison has kept the refined start with a green lemon refreshing accord, however not so citrus as its antecessor. Immediately, there is a deja vu perception as if the perfumer had not changed very much the composition, however thus the asian influences appear with  strength of the tea notes  which provide the fresh tone without becoming the fragrance luminous. At this time, the insight is as if the refreshing sensation be dispersed on skin, mixing perfume and water with an oriental unexpressive touch. After that, the touch of cardamom is not proeminent because, subtlely, is added to give Escale à Pondichery a likely spicy nuance taking into consideration that this spice, in the East, is used to flavour warm beverages such as the tea, the coffee and the infusion of aromatic plant leaves. Ahead in the base, the perfume is kept as a fresh woody, aligning its  drydown to the expected type of drydown from classical colognes.

The best of the fragrance:  The perfume is founded by an olfactive harmony (unfortunately only in the theory) because of its scented references related to geographic influences. The idea of joining, with the mediterranean freshness, the tea (Asian reference), with the cardamom (the East reference), the jasmine sambac (the French reference) and the sandalwood (the Tamil Nadu sandalwood reference, extracted in this state) is certainly the strong con of this fragrance cruise, emphasized by the selected raw material of the region, even though the scent is a little disappointing.
 

The worst of the fragrance: The perfume is not focused on evoking strong accords of these indian references, mainly in the spicy accord that is mixed in the fresh tea, then the fragrance has not sustained its oriental expressiveness about the destiny it refers to, mainly in comparison to its sparkling antecessor, the Portofino. Actually, this perfume keeps the traditionalism of fragrances  inspired by tea infusion with oriental spices touch and that keeps the mediterranean freshness approach, but very simple and uncaptivating.
 

Longlasting power:  + 8 hours
 
Sillage: medium

Drydown:   refreshing woody

Perfumer: François Demachy

Notes: black tea, cardamom, sandalwood and jasmim sambac 

Recommended for:  Men and women who enjoy refreshing  classic fragrances slightly woody spicy for the summer and who don't have problems with tea-based scents.

Dior Escale à Portofino is the first fragrance of this range, created in 2008 and inspired by the port located in North of Italy, traditional and fascinating destiny to express the refinement of the Italian freshness.

Depois de uma saga in Black , Tom Ford lança no mercado o avesso deste período obscuro de sua perfumaria, trazendo para seus consumidores White Patchouli, um convite à beleza e calmaria da cor branca tão cheia de significados para inúmeras culturas ao redor do planeta.


Quase como uma negação ao que sempre vimos na marca, o branco é a imagem em negativo de Black Orchid, o potente e deliciosamente trufado primeiro perfume de própria marca, que emite uma aura invasiva e adocicada com suaves mesclas de uma ilusória orquídea negra foi transformado em algo leve, macio, angelical e extremamente neutro que segue a atual tendência de chypres florais modernizados.

As folhas de patchouli possuem um aroma terroso e medicinal, dando uma leve seriedade às fragrâncias mais expansivas. Neste perfume de Tom Ford, o patchouli é a nota máxima e não a base, como é comum. O patchouli é o próprio acorde base a que as demais notas se renderão.

O que você entenderia por cheiro branco? Nunca tinha pensado na possibilidade de cheiros brancos como fragrâncias sofisticadas. Sempre imaginava algo que faltava nesses perfumes, como um elo que foi quebrado e que não deixava mais o resto das correntes se unirem. Com uma saída simples, composta quase exclusivamente de limão e coriandro, quando White Patchouli toca a pele abre uma refrescância levemente seca pelo coriandro, de modo a deixar o tom cítrico dos limões bem próximo à pele, quase transparente o que ao meu olfato foi muito confortável.


Posteriormente, a imagem começa a tomar cor, saindo do transparente e confortável ácido e seco da mistura de limões e coriandro para o branco imaculado e angelical de um canteiro de jasmim exposto ao sol da primavera. Um bouquet de flores ainda mais brancas começa a ser percebido, com suas pétalas macias e leves, a discreta doçura da peônia também é facilmente percebida. Há ainda no meio desse jardim intensamente branco um tom terroso de patchouli, a nota foi muito bem trabalhada e, por esse motivo, não transformou o perfume em algo áspero, ao contrário, contribui para a beleza dessa fragrância, um aroma despretensioso e claro, basicamente verde e terroso no meio de muitas flores brancas, um equilíbrio perfeito entre o acorde floral e o medicinal tornando essa a mais sofisticada das fases.

No fundo de toda essa brancura semente de ambreta, uma espécie de planta evoca o cheiro de musk, porém menos profundo e animálico, seria por assim dizer um "musk estéril". White Patchouli é realmente um perfume branco, moderno e extremamente minimalista, no qual apenas o que importa permanece sem que haja a interferência de elementos desnecessários ao todo. Leve, sofisticado e discreto, mais uma obra de arte assinada por Tom Ford.

After the in Black saga, Tom Ford releases in the market the opposite of this dark moment, bringing to consumers White Patchouli, an invitation to the beauty and serenity of the white color so full of meanings for diverse cultures all over the planet.

Almost as a negation of everything we have seen in the brand , the white is the contrary image found in Black Orchid, the potent and delicious truffle first fragrance of Tom Ford, which emanates a sweet invasive aura with soft accords of an ilusory black orchid, now is transformed in something clean, soft, angelical and extremely neutral that follows the recent trend of modern floral chypres.


Patchouli leaves own an intense earthy and medicinal scent providing a subtle seriousness for enthusiastic fragrances. In this Tom Ford perfume, patchouli is the utmost note and not a basenote as is more commom. Patchouli is the own base accord to which all other notes are surrendered.


What would you say about a white scent? I have never thought about this possibility of white scents as sophisticated ones. I've always imagined that something lacked in these fragrances, like an connexion which was broken and not let the rest of scented waves be joined. Starting a simple opening composed by almost exclusively lemon and coriander, White Patchouli touches uniquely the skin and opens a slightly dry refresh by coriander in such a manner as let the citrusy tone of lemons closer to the skin, nearly transparent, what was very comfortable to my olfaction.


Later the image starts to color, leaving the transparency and the acid and dry mixture of lemons and coriander to emanate an immaculated and angelical of a jasmine-bed exposed under the spring sun. A bouquet of whiter flowers begins to be perceived with its tender and light petals,the discrete sweetness of the peony also is pleasantly smelt. There is also intensely in this white garden a earthy patchouli tone, the note was very well worked on the perfume and, because of that, doesn't make the fragrance not smooth, on the contrary, it contributes to White Patchouli's beauty, a scent that is clean and not snobbish, basically green and earthy in the middle of many white flowers, a perfect balance between the floral accord and the medicinal one becoming this phase the best of all.


In the base of all this whiteness there are ambrette seeds, a type of plant that evokes the musk scent, but less deep and animalic, that is something as "a sterile musk". White Patchouli is indeed a white, modern and extremely minimalist fragrance in which only what matters is kept without any interference of unnecessary elements. Light, sophisticated and elusive, one more masterpiece by Tom Ford signature.

Perfume Review: Tuscan Leather, Tom Ford Private Blend

Tuscan Leather, Tom Ford Private Blend Collection

É indiscutível que Tom Ford tem seu toque de "Midas", independente da maison que ele atua(va), ele consegue vender suas idéias como se fosse água no deserto, de certo modo esse poderia ser um ponto negativo em termos de exclusividade, mas atualmente na dianteira de sua marca própria, Tom alinha o luxo e a exclusividade no fervor do mercado, produzindo em sua Private Blend Collection fragrâncias que não são comerciais e possuem uma excelência extrema.


Como agir diante de um perfume que segue o conceito Tomfordiano tendo como base uma nota de couro? Antes de experimentar Tuscan Leather pensei em algo lascivo, talvez sujo como algumas fragrâncias da escola francesa, porém a maior de todas as minhas surpresas nesta experiência foi identificar classe e comforto em um acorde que poderia ter sido agressivo e inteiramente carnal.


Os acordes iniciais são exóticos e de difícil combinação, mas que neste perfume foram incrivelmente orquestrados chegando a uma sinfonia mágica de ramos secos de tomilho misturados ao alaranjado vivo das sementes de açafrão e a doçura sutil das framboesas, o que dá uma caráter mais seco a esta fase pois o acorde "juicy" das framboesas é quase imperceptível. É difícil imaginar que estas três notas tão diferentes entre si possam chegar a um cheiro tão encantador, mas Tuscan Leather mostra que o improvável pode ser cativante. Sinto um toque levemente resinoso de olíbano que precede o couro de modo que este couro se mostra esfumaçado e, ao mesmo tempo, discretamente balsâmico e um pouco pungente , fatores que não prejudicam o magnífico desenrolar do resto do perfume, apenas o torna ainda mais pulsante e vivo em contato com a pele quente.

Partimos agora para um clímax da fragrância onde a faceta acourada será brilhantemente transformada em um presente de encher os olhos. Imagine uma caixa de Manolo Blahnik e visualize algo enrolado em um papel repleto de logomarcas que escondem um artefato magnificamente trabalhado em couro vermelho vivo e reluzente , agora sinta a maciez do couro genuíno e naturalmente perfumado, observe o acabamento impecável de cada curva do sapato, o salto finíssimo especialmente para equilibrar uma dama e acariciar seus pés como se fosse uma pluma,pensando dessa forma você conseguirá tornar a nota de couro de Tuscan Leather palpável e concreta. It is unquestionable that Tom Ford has his touch of "Gold", no matter how maison he works(or worked for). He is able to sell his ideas as they were water in the desert, in a certain way, this would be a negative point in terms of exclusivity however currently ahead of his own brand, Tom mixes luxury and exclusiveness in the hunger of marketing producing in his Private Blend Collection fragrances that are not commercial and own an extreme excellence.

How react in front of a fragrance which follows the Tom Fordi(an) concept having as base a leather note? Before trying Tuscan Leather I imagined something lascive, maybe dirty as some fragrances from the French school, however the biggest of all my surprises in this experience was to notice class and comfort in a chord which could have been aggressive and entirely carnal.


The initial chords are exotic and difficult in their combinations, but in this fragrance they were orchestrated incredibly to the point of reaching a magical symphony of dry thyme leaves mixed to the orange color of saffron seeds and the subtle sweetness of berries which is given a drier facet to this phase because the juicy chord of berries is almost unnoticeable. It is difficult to imagine that these three notes so different among them could reach a scent so enchanting, but Tuscan Leather shows that it may be very charming.


I feel the slight touch of the resinous olibanum that comes before the leather and then the leathery chord is showed as a smoky facet and, on the same time, balsamic and a little pungent what does not harm the magnificent development of the perfume, only becomes it more alive in contact with the warm skin.


We left from now to the climax of the fragrance where the leathery fact will be brilliantly transformed into a fabulous gift. Imagine a box of Manolo Blahnik and visualise something wrapped in a paper filled by brands logos which hide a beautiful workmanship worked on a blood red leather, now feel the softness of this genuine leather and naturally fragrant, observe the perfect finish of each shoe's curve, the fine high heels specially done to balance a gorgeous lady and caresse her feet as they were a plum, thinking in that way you'll be able to become the leather note of Tuscan Leather real and touchable. A light scent of leather, something that only new clothes and genuine shoes own, there is still an important facet of comfort, something that is not vulgar or aggressive and also there is a rubbery facet due to labdanum which embraces the leather and lasts for hours on skin.


Tuscan Leather is a charming perfume because of its lightness that difficultly will be found in the competitors of its category. The most interesting point in its composition is the weight of notes which could suffocate one and another in a way to bring a mix and a disaster on it, but through the fragrance lightness that cannot be considered a banality, each note appears in the right time, respect one and another. In a direct form, this Tom Ford's fragrance is a exclusive scent for exclusive men and women who enjoy perfuming smoothly the atmosphere around them and not feel oppressed by their own fragrances.

Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Private Blend Collection

Accept the invitation to this Tea Party, deliciously olfactive, in which the very elegant Tom Ford participates in, accompanied by his Rosa Negra. Ladies, go with your gentlemen who will enjoy their pipes and cigars with the softest tobacco, while their ladies will enjoy something healthier for their well-being... they will enjoy the refined scent of Tobacco Vanille, one of the fragrances of Tom Ford Private Blend Collection. Gentlemen, if you wish crazily to sample this elixir, kiss and touch your ladies' skins, after the tea party... perhaps ladies will leave this almondy vanilla scent with nuances of pure honey in one of their mademoiselle's gloves, like a sensual preliminar. I was with Tom Ford in one room of vintage style with others men so sophisticated as him; he was my companion in a tea party, elegantly victorian and cool emphasizing the contrasts between the modernity and the classicism, but in this party, Tom was not be with me for a long time, while I was sampling this scented vanilla with almondies and chocolate cookies, he was most likely to be talking among men and their cigars and pipes, tipically part of a men's club.

In the course of this event, Tobacco Vanille was my companion. An invitation to the sweet delicateness of the vanilla involved by the purest and finest honey with accords of chocolate poured with coconut, so scentful as are tasty these candies offered in the tea party. Tobacco Vanille is a very likely fragrance for the sophisticated world of ladies dressing retro clothing, sweet and never futile in their behaviors, whose men love smoking a light tobacco of high quality in their pipes. The perfume fits to these ladies, but without their men, they could not be so well accompanied... never, without their refinement and charming presence that they impose naturally on the place athmosphere.

While Tom smoked his tobacco pipe, I, his lady, felt how good was to be in his companion, a fragrance and fashion business man who knew to approve gorgeous accords in his brand, scented accords that worth to be his lady's perfume... the first accord of Tobacco Vanille reminded me of the scent of my favorite vanilla... peculiar and refined, covered by honey, delicately almondy by the presence of the Tonka Bean and, in the base, those evocative smoky notes of Tobacco which seemed dried leaves and provided for the fragrance an old green scent making me remember the first room, full of men smoking and bringing the male effect to the vanilla, that was not very smoky-be.

I continued smelling that honeyed-vanilla in a delightful way while I was surrounded by the shy smiles of those well behaved ladies... my romantic dress seemed to be burnt , for some minutes, by my hot thoughts filled by pleasure and good appetite...and the dress gave the impression of being opened at any time.

I decided to grab a cookie to satiate my sudden hunger. One more amazing scent wave: a balsamic vanilla with honey and almondies dominated more space in my olfaction... a scent of coconut that reminded me of much more a bitter chocolate that, little by little, allowed being sugared by the coconut. For one moment, I was uncontrolled mad by this Tom Ford's fragrance, such a splendid scent!

Where was Tom? Well, it didn't matter anymore... ladies who were closer to me also were unimportant , I only desired my Tobacco Vanille and all those sweet candies around me.

Tom Ford Black Orchid

Black Orchid is a perfume that makes me celebrate its release as those fragrances that touch the skin and after the soul. I would say that wearing Black Orchid for the first time was like to receive a black orchids bouquet which bloomed in each phase of the perfume, in a ludic manner. Tom Ford and his natural talent compared to be like an "American Serge Lutens" was daring with his Black Orchid female fragrance, blending diverse notes that created an enchanting symphony, overcoming all obstacles in developing a beautiful mix with dark and mysterious appealing and, on the same time, luminous.

In a rare way, Tom Ford launched a fragrance that takes us to an olfactive journey, where the first step is not to know where we are going to and, also, to be aware and confident that this journey is fascinating. Like a temporary blindness that excites; like to be with the eyes covered, hidden by the darkness which, contradictorily beg for a revealing light. It was exactly what I felt in this journey.

After the first fragrance spray, scents become flavors: the acid of bergamot and the sweet of the black truffle were balanced with a woody creaminess and a touch of patchouli. In a original manner, a dark creamy citrusy scent which is alternated with the sweetness of floral and fruity accords was released in the market. This fragrance has a début to touch the body with sensual nuances that move to a soul delight, it is like to stare a star night with a garden of black orchids while drinking a creamy citrusy cocktail.

A scent that reaches a hypnotic effect to warm and intoxicate the skin with a vanilla accord blended to sweet and almost edible flower petals as a delicious gourmand-like perfume that also keeps the freshness of the day and the heat of the night. The vanillic chypre base joins the blooming of this orchid with the vivacity of the flower just opened, merging the truffle scent of Black Orchid start which reminds me of chococolate covered by a creamy liqueur, fresh and sharp with a final base of vanilla and woody notes.

Black Orchid is a perfume whose temporality on skin is presented in a progressing and continuous way, it is like to imagine that, in order to smell each one of its nuances it would be necessary to follow a way without shortcuts. Inevitably a way that takes us to a garden of passionate orchids.

Perfume Review: Velvet Gardenia, Tom Ford Private Blend

Antes de falar em perfumes, é conveniente que se fale de Tom Ford, quem não se recorda de um dito M7(YSL) no ano de 2002, quando um jovem texano estava no comando de criação da maison? Quem não se lembra das campanhas insanas e altamente eróticas da Gucci? É esse mesmo mocinho que já não é tão novo nesse mundo fashion que vem, através de sua marca própria ,nos levar a viagens bem mais imaginativas com seus perfumes exclusivos da coleção Private Blend.

É o aspecto visionário de Tom Ford que o permite ir além de uma simples linha de perfumes convencional, comercial e banal; por este motivo que o mago da polêmica e do choque de valores se deixa levar pelos seus conceitos vintage. Sentir um Private Blend é o mesmo que mergulhar em alto mar no meio de uma uma noite sem lua e aventurar-se dentro de uma tempestade repentina;os aromas tanto podem ser modernos, como clássicos e cheios de glamour. Com essa linha, imagino que ele não pretende alcançar mercado algum, mas simplesmente mostrar seu potencial criativo com seu deboche implícito em tudo que faz.

Como havia dito nas linhas anteriores, ele se deixa levar pelo vintage, algo que foi de uma época e que não mais o é. Velvet Gardenia é o supra-sumo de um lugar no passado que jamais voltará, de jovens mocinhas indo às suas costureiras prediletas, para tirar medidas de seus corpos, escolher modelos e pedrarias para seus vestidos de formatura, à espera da grande noite, na qual um rapaz que se encantará por sua beleza a levará para a festa.


Música lenta e meias palavras, pois as mocinhas são ingênuas e tímidas, nada de ultrapassar sinais, nada de ir direto ao assunto... Os garotos com seus ternos sóbrios com a elegante e engraçada gravata borboleta e cabelos cheios de brilhantina já traçam seus malvados planos pós-baile.

Uma dança, um olhar e logo o nariz encontra o pescoço da mocinha, um cheiro provavelmente roubado da penteadeira da mamãe é sentido, um aroma repleto de escuridão e maciez, como se a pele estivesse encoberta por um veludo brilhante e macio, novo e muito confortável; sente-se o aroma de uma única rosa mesclada à visão brilhante de laranjeiras em flor. Com o passar do baile ,o cheiro de sutil e angelical passa a ser escuro e cada vez mais floral, surgem lírios do vale, rosas vermelhas e a rainha da noite envolta em um bouquet de tuberosas e gardênias torna-se ainda mais desejável.

O baile termina e o convite para o Cadillac que espera lá fora é aceito.O rapaz começa a mostrar suas intenções inebriantes pelo aroma agora forte e floral, mãos percorrem as saias do vestido e a mocinha antes tímida revela-se voraz e disposta a conhecer pela primeira vez os prazeres do amor. Beijos molhados e mãos invasivas despem os dois, as horas passam e o desejo fala mais alto. A moça entrega-se ao belo rapaz e percebe que tudo foi perfeito.


A roupa dele está impregnada pelo perfume da mocinha e descobrimos agora que o perfume cheira à prazer, luz e escuridão, lícito e proibido, como o mel de uma colméia, onde há o perigo de ser atacado pelas abelhas, mas o desejo de beber os favos de mel é muito maior.

Assim é Velvet Gardenia, arrebatador e excitante, mas também delicado como uma roupa do mais nobre veludo que aquece e protege do frio. Notas de laranja, gardênia, jasmim, rosa, tuberosa, lírio do vale, mel, incenso e láudano, que evoluem como uma noite que teima em amanhecer, àquela hora mágica que não é dia nem é noite, que não é cedo nem é tarde, um alvorecer de várias flores úmidas pelo orvalho de uma noite fresca de outono.

Before talking about perfumes, it is suitable to talk about Tom Ford, who don't remind of M7(YSL) released in 2002, when a young man from Texas was in charge of the creative officer of the maison? Who don't remind of the insane and highly erotic campaigns of Gucci? It is exaclty this man who is not so young in the fashion world that comes, through his brand, to take us to imaginative journeys with his exclusive perfumes of the Private Blend collection.


It is the visionary aspect of Tom Ford that allows him to move beyond a simple perfume brand, commercial and banal; for this reason that the wizard of the controversy and the shock values yields to his vintage concepts. Smelling a Private Blend is like to dive at sea during a night without moon and be adventurous in a sudden storm; the aromas can bem modern as well classicals and glamourous. With this fragrance line, I imagine that he does not intend to reach any market, but simply to show his creative potential with his implicit debauch in everything he did.


As I had commented in previous lines, he yields to vintage style, everything that belonged to one epoch and now does not belong anymore. Velvet Gardenia is the supreme fragrance of one place in the past that never will be back again, an epoch of young ladies going to their favorite dressmakers to take the measurements of their bodies ,select their models and jewels for their evening graduation dress , waiting for the big night when boys will be enchanted by their beauties and will invite them to the party.


Romantic song and few words, because the young ladies are innocent and shy, nothing to knock the bottom out of the cast, nothing to go directly to the point... The boys dressing their sober suits with an elegant and funny butterfly tie and their hair glossy with much brilliantine are already making their evil after party plans.


A dance, a glance and after the nose finds the neck of the young lady, a scent that is probably taken from the mother's dressing table is felt, an aroma replete of darkness and softness, as if the skin would be covered by a brilliant and soft velvet, new and very comfortable, it is felt the smell of one unique rose blended to the bright vision of orange blossoms. As the ball has been past, the smell develops from the angelical subtleness to a dark and more and more floral scent. Come to the air lily of valley, red roses and queen of night involved in one bouquet of tuberoses and gardenias that become the fragrance more desirable.


The ball is over and the invitation for the Cadillac which is waiting for the young couple is accepted. The boy starts to show his inebriant intentions for the aroma, now strong and floral, hands explore the petticoats of the dress and the young lady, before shy, is revealed voracious and determined to know for the first time the pleasures of the love. Wet kisses and invasive hands strip both, the hours pass and the desire is stronger. The young lady surrenders herself to the handsome boy and realizes that everything was perfect.

Notes of orange, gardenia, jasmine, rose, tuberose, lily of valley, honey, incense and laudanum that develop like the night that persists in dawning, that magic hour that is not day but also not night, that is not early but also not late, one dawn of many moist flowers by the mist of one fresh autumm night.
