Nossa paixão pela perfumaria nem começaria se não fosse a mente criativa e a alma apaixonada de todos os perfumistas do mundo. A perfumaria não existiria sem eles, ainda que haja todo  um trabalho em equipe que conta com uma time multidisciplinar, o perfumista é o intelecto e o coração desta grande Arte, por isso juntamente com o perfume, o perfumista é também o nosso grande amor. O Perfume da Rosa Negra agradece a todos os perfumistas que trabalharam muito em 2009 e se dedicaram a nos trazer uma perfumaria cada vez mais fascinante. Aqui, listamos 25 perfumistas que se destacaram em 2009 com suas criações, mas o nosso I love you fica para todos os perfumistas do mundo.

Our passion for perfumery would never start if there weren't the creative mind and the passionate sould of all perfumers in the world. The perfumery  would never exist without them, even though there is a multidisciplinary work  behind the scenes, the perfumer is the intellectual power and the heart of this great Art, because of that, together with the perfume, the perfumer is also our  great love. Perfumaria: Retrospectiva 2009 - A febre do Oud / The Oud Craze

Se no Brasil, a febre perfumada foi o Açai, em marcas internacionais de perfumes, a febre foi o Oud, a tradicional resina amadeirada excretada pelas árvores aquilaria, de imensurável valor na perfumaria do Oriente Médio desde a Antiguidade e uma das matérias primas mais nobres e caras amplamente usadas em attars (perfumes em óleo) principalmente em suas formas artesanais e mais vintage compostas por perfumistas exclusivos do Oriente. O Oud também é chamado de agarwood, aloeswood e oudh na composição destes perfumes e  quanto mais antigo, mais valioso é esta matéria prima chegando a preços astronômicos. É um óleo de coloração escura e rico em nuances aromáticas complexas, afrodisíacas e animálicas. Atualmente, Oud de boa qualidade é produzido sinteticamente pelas líderes empresas de fragrâncias e aromas com a Givaudan e a Firmenich.

O Oud, como uma boa parte dos componentes da perfumaria arábe e asiática tem um caratér bem místico e espiritualizado, o que o faz sobreviver na perfumaria com todo o requinte de uma matéria prima sagrada. Através dos séculos, o Oud ficou mais esquecido pelo Oeste, pelo menos na perfumaria mais "comercial" e exclusiva no entanto a partir da década de 80 ele foi usado, em menor ou maior escala, em perfumes mainstream como Calvin Klein Obsession for Men e Yves Saint Laurent M7, este último um dos perfumes lançados sob a direção de Tom Ford, um confesso adorador de Oud que, mais recentemente, lançaria na sua coleção exclusiva Oud Wood e Noir de Noir com toques proeminentes de madeira de ágar na composição.

Mas se Tom Ford, com seu desbravador estilo abriu espaço para o Oud em linhas exclusivas de prestígio, o Oud foi idolatrado na perfumaria de nicho, a começar por 10 Corso Como da 10 Corso Como, o primeiro deste segmento, seguido pela marca francesa Montale e uma série quase infindável de perfumes com Oud, muitos dos quais sem grandes predicativos. Micallef também lançou uma coleção exclusiva somente de Oud, principalmente com blending de rosas orientais, Amouage manteve as referências do Oriente incluindo Agarwood nos recentes Epic for Men e Epic for Woman e By Kilian lançou duas fragrâncias com a matéria prima em Cruel Intentions Tempt Me e Arabian Nights Pure Oud.

Apesar de todos estes lançamentos e tantos outros mais no decorrer das duas últimas décadas, 2009 foi definitivamente o ano do Oud, a tendência que, espero, não seja banalizada dada a riqueza mítica deste precioso componente.





If in Brazil the fragrant fever was the Açai, in international perfume brands the fever was the Oud, the traditional woody resin excreted  by  aquilaria trees, of immensurable value in the Middle Eastern perfumery since the Antiquity and one of the noblest and most expensive raw materials hugely used in attars (perfumes in oils) mainly in their artisanal and more vintage forms composed by exclusive perfumers from the East. The Oud also is named as  agarwood, aloeswood and oudh in the composition of these perfumes and how older is, more is valuable reaching astronomical prices; it is a dark colored oil and rich in aromatic and complex nuances, aphrodisiac and animalic. Recently, good quality Oud is produced synthetically by the leading companies in flavors and fragrances as Givaudan and Firmenich.

The Oud, as a good part of the compounds from Asian and Arabic perfumery has a mythical and spiritual character, what makes it survive in the perfumery as a sacred raw material. Across the centuries, the Oud has been  forgotten by the Western, at least, by the "commercial " and "exclusive" perfumery, however from the 80's it was used , in  lesser or  bigger  scale  in mainstream perfumes such as  Calvin Klein Obsession for Men and Yves Saint Laurent M7,this last one one of the perfumes released under the direction of Tom Ford, a self-confessed lover of Oud, who more recently launched his exclusive Collection with fragrances such as Oud Wood and Noir de Noir which have proeminent touches of agarwood in their compositions.

But if Tom Ford, with this revolutionary style opened space for Oud in exclusive lines of prestige fragrances, the Oud was worshipped in the niche perfumery, starting with 10 Corso Como by 10 Corso Como, the first one in this segment, followed by the French perfume brand Montale and its almost endless series composed by Oud, many of them without great predicates. Micallef also released his exclusive Oud collection mainly with the blending of oriental roses, Amouage has kept its East references including agarwood in its recent Epic for Men and Epic for woman and By Kilian released two fragrances with  Oud compound , Cruel Intentions Tempt Me and Arabian Nights Pure Oud.

Despite all these releases and so many others in the course of the last two decades, 2009 was definitely the year of the Oud, the trendy that I expect don't become banal considering the mythical richness of this precious raw material.

Boadicea The Vitorious é a marca de fragrâncias luxuosa que ficou mais conhecida após a primeira dama Americana Michelle Obama confessar que a usa. Eles lançaram uma coleção de Agarwood com fragrâncias que contemplam os principais elementos aromáticos da cultura oriental como especiarias, resinas e bálsamos, rosas e demais flores clássicas como o jasmim e a íris e madeiras sultanas além da de ágar como o sândalo de Mysore e o cedro do Líbano.

Boadicea The Vitorious is the luxury fragrances brand which becomes more known after the first American Lady Michelle Obama confessing she wears its fragrances. They released an Agarwood collection with fragrances which feature the main aromatic elements of Oriental culture such as spices, resins and balms, roses and others classic flowers such as jasmine and iris and sultry woods besides the agarwood such as Mysore sandalwood and Lebanon cedar.

DSH Oude Arabique
