Only The Brave é a última fragrância lançada pela Diesel neste ano, um amadeirado oriental cujo conceito se alinha à competitividade do mundo contemporâneo carregada de comportamentos impetuosos rumo à vitória. Comportamentos corajosos e egocêntricos que combinam com a sociedade atual cheia de desafios e que alimenta uma imagem de sucesso que somente os "bravos" podem alcançar. Segundo a divulgação, Only the Brave é apenas para "os corajosos, aqueles que tomam conta de suas próprias vidas e de seus próprios destinos". No contexto de negócios que acompanha este conceito, Only the Brave é também uma das empresas de Renzo Rosso, fundador da marca Diesel, logo há um ingrediente autobiográfico na fragrância que reforça o ego-tema da fragrância.
Para evocar esta agressividade tão natural e atual tanto no homem quanto no meio urbano no qual ele vive, a fragrância foi criada com notas que resgatam a natureza vegetal e animal, a essência primitiva inerente ao ser humano, reunindo vários elementos naturais cheios de adjetivações que resumem este homem Only the Brave como o frescor do limão, o animálico do couro, a força das madeiras e o calor do âmbar, entre outros. Para complementar a convicta coragem deste homem moderno, o perfume tem o formato de uma mão fechada como se o pulso forte batesse estrondosamente sobre a mesa em um ato destemido, ou seja, uma materialização da valentia deste homem very macho em formato de frasco de perfume.
O início do perfume é marcado pelo frescor cítrico que tem a leveza de saídas refrescantes que culminam em flores sutis, como ocorre em fragrâncias amadeiradas florais que levam violetas, no entanto menos sofisticado em Em Only the Brave. Até o coração da fragrância, o cheiro é agradável e suave, principalmente com as tímidas nuances de couro que aparecem e a exótica aromatização oriental do estoraque e criam uma expectativa que , mais tarde, a fragrância exalará um calor amadeirado e ambarado fenomenal assim como a bravura de um homem, no entanto um pouco mais após o desenvolvimento médio da fragrância, Only the Brave encontra o lugar comum com a sutileza de um amadeirado que perde a sua força e que não foi sustentado nem mesmo por uma base balsâmica mais forte.
Com Only the Brave, ainda não foi desta vez que a Diesel lançou uma fragrância que fizesse a diferença sob o ponto de vista olfativo. O conceito perde esta "agressividade olfativa" na própria fragrância a qual é mais leve e ajustada a quem gosta de discretos amadeirados bem lineares. Embora o conceito seja ultra contemporâneo, principalmente em uma época na qual se vive em uma selva urbana com seres humanos predatórios e a projeção de vitória a qualquer custo com a crescente elevação do eu, eu e eu, a fragrância deixa a desejar . As incisivas afirmações marketeiras sobre "uma fragrância para os bravos" produzem uma imagem de um perfume olfativamente forte, com uma orientalidade ousada na base amadeirada e balsâmica assim com no animálico dos acordes acourados que, na prática, não ganham forma e o conceito por si só acaba sendo sublimado na imaginação audaciosa.
Infelizmente, ainda que o conceito e a embalagem sejam excelentes, a fragrância transmite muito mais que o homem perdeu a coragem de deixar o seu másculo rastro perfumado e mostrar o poder de sua forte personalidade e destemida convicção através de um perfume mais marcante.

Only The Brave is the last fragrance released this year by Diesel , a woody oriental whose concept is aligned to the competitiveness of the comtemporaneous world carried by impetuous behaviors targeting the victory. Brave and egocentric behaviors that combine with the modern society full of challenges and that reinforce a successful image that only the "brave" can reach. According to its advertisement, Only the Brave is only for "the braves, those who take care of their own lives and their own destinies". In the business context that follows this concept, Only the Brave is also one of the companies owned by Renzo Rosso, founder of the Diesel brand, hence there is an autobiography component in the fragrance that gives more effectiveness to the ego-theme of the perfume.
Evoking this man's strength so recent and natural in the urban atmosphere, the fragrance was composed with notes that bring to the existence the vegetable and animal nature, the primitive essence inherent in the human being, joining various natural elements full of qualifications that summarize who is the Only the Brave man such as the freshness of the lemon, the animalic of the leather, the strength of woods and the warmth of the amber. Complementing the unshakable courage of this modern man, the perfume bottle has the format of a closed hand as if the strong wrist beats the table noisily as a fearless act, that is, the materialization of the braveness of this very macho man now in format of a fragrance flacon.
The start of perfume determines a citrusy freshness that has the lightness of the refreshing notes which end in tenuous flowers as occur in floral woody fragrances that feature violets, however less sophisticated in Only the Brave. Until the heart of the fragrance, the scent is pleasant and smooth, mainly with the subtle nuances of leather that appear with some exotic oriental aromatization of the styrax and create an expectation that the fragrance is going to come with a phenomenal woody and ambery scents like the braveness of a man, however later after its average development, Only the Brave meets the commonplace with the smoothness of a woody base that loses its strength and is not sustained nor even by a stronger balsamic base.
With Only the Brave, Diesel haven't made yet the difference under the olfactory point of the view. The concept loses this "olfactory boldness" in the fragrance , which is lighter and suitable to those who enjoy subtle linear woody fragrances. Even though the concept be ultra modern, mainly in a period of time when we live in an urban jungle with predatory human beings and daring projects of life with continuous search for the ego, ego and ego success, the fragrance is quite obvious to the olfaction. The penetrating marketing statements about "a fragrance only for the brave" produce an image of strong perfume in olfactory ways, in its scented personality, so, it is natural expecting a daring orientality in the woody and balsamic base as well as with the leathery accords that, in practice, don't gain ground in the mixture and the concept by itself is subliminal only the audacious imagination.
Unfortunately, though the concept and the packaging are excellent, the fragrance transmits much more that the man loses his boldness giving up letting a powerful scent trail besides abandoning the chance of showing how bold is his strong personality and fearless conviction through a more remarkable fragrance.
