Background: Givenchy Play Intense é a versão mais intensa de Play que, neste flanker, apresenta um blending mais sensualmente gustativo, com a adição de mais café e patchouli, ressaltado coerentemente pelo prazer olfativo da fava tonka. Assim como o tradicional, todo o conceito de contemporaneidade do homem cercado de mulheres, carros, música e sucesso personificada pelo cantor Justin Timberlake permanece, assim como o frasco em formato MP3 concebido em nuance negra, misteriosa e noturna por Serge Mansau e elegante fotografia P&B ilustrada pela competência de Tom Munro.
Desenvolvimento: Desta vez, Françoise Donche, o perfumista in-house da Givenchy orquestrou em associação com a Symrise, de forma bem sucedida, as notas desta versão que é superior à Play, se consolidando com um sedutor amadeirado oriental com notas de café, patchouli, fava tonka e pimenta rosa, intimamente ligadas para um efeito gustativo, mais abaunilhado e encorpado. A atração e intensidade iniciais são dadas por uma entrada atrativa da nota de café que é, deliciosamente, amadeirada especiada adocicada e, bem equilibrada nas nuances gourmands em comparação à estética de Thierry Mugler (A*Men e Pure Coffee, por exemplo). Considerando suas forças odoríferas, as nuances quentes de especiarias, madeiras e resinas não são exageradas mesmo sem a interferência refrescante de Play, logo a impressão mais imediata é de um perfume sofisticado com a intenção de dar um toque gustativo, mas sem ser totalmente gourmand.
O melhor da fragrância: A combinação café, madeiras e fava tonka, principalmente o fascinante apelo sensual no início e meio de seu desenvolvimento.
O pior da fragrância: É uma boa fragrância para o que se propõe, no entanto, deveria ter potencializado o uso da pimenta rosa e ter uma base menos linear e mais intensa em seu odor amadeirado gourmand.

Its initials attraction and the intensity are provided by the attractive opening of the coffee note which is, delightfully, woody spicy sweety and, well harmonized with the gourmand nuances in comparison to the aesthetics of Thierry Mugler (A*Men and Pure Coffee, for example). Considering their odoriferous strenghts, warm nuances of spices, woods and resins are not heavy even without the refreshing interference of Play, thus the most immediate impression is that Play Intense is a sophisticated fragrance with the intention of providing a gustative touch, but without being completely gourmand.
