Perfume Review: Stella, Stella McCartney

Stella by Stella McCartney

Rose, from Stella to women

(English version)

Stella, first fragrance of Stella McCartney is an invitation to the sensuality and to the delicateness of the rose, main figure of the bouquet floral of one of the most successful female fashion designers in recent times. Created by the perfumer Jacques Cavallier, the fragrance features rose essence, peony and mandarin as top notes, middle notes of absolute rose and amber as base note. According to the brand, Stella is "based on the contrast between the freshness and the softness of the Rose and the dark sensuality of the amber".

Stella McCartney, daughter of the ex-Beatles Paul McCartney, made her début in perfumery in one of the most sublime ways used to connect the inspiring muse and the object which is inspired by , that is , The woman Stella and the Perfume Stella and, therefore, it was included a rose component between them to represent the stylist and the fragrance. Stella has a strong intimacy with this flower and the perfume by itself has as main star the same flower that reigns with all accords around it. The proeminent feature of the fragrance is reinforced by this raw material which represents the unique character of one person's essence, in this case, the essence of Stella McCartney, in a retro modern version.

The fragrance is a sensual floral that, in the first apparition , emphasizes the elegant and seductive freshness awaking sensations related to a curiosity focused on the rose feminility. This happens because all senses are involved by this mandarin's edible juicy, slightly enveloped by flowers as if the fresh flowery notes would satiate the thirst instead of the hunger. They are sweet and refreshing at the same time and, being so desirable mixture, they provoke the ideal desire of having roses petals leaving their origins and meeting their right destiny when embrace the woman's body. The soft hug between the flower of the nature and the human flower.

Although the rose element is not ethereal in comparison to others types of scented roses , mainly those found in their imperial, almost divinal versions, the Rose of Stella is rendered by the ambery base setting in the fragrance a balanced sensuality between the soul and the flesh, as though the fragrance be the communion between the rose exalted by the nature and the feminine emotions with the ambar, controlly sensual, earthier. Both are joined to provide an olfactive pleasure in which the woman's body and her feelings are surrounded by roses and not by thorns.
