Hoje é o dia Mundial da Luta contra a AIDS e, o que está evidente aos quatro cantos do mundo, em campanhas, em vozes de anônimos e especialistas e autoridades, familiares e pessoas contaminadas com o HIV é recorrente: o preconceito existe e é ainda tremendamente forte, inclusive segundo o secretário geral das Nações Unidas , Bank Ki-Moon em seu comunicado oficial para a imprensa é necessário tomar medidas urgentes muito além da prevenção, do tratamento e do apoio aos portadores da AIDS. Ainda que o crescimento esteja acelerando a cada ano, superando as ações contra a doença, a maior luta é o preconceito escrachado da sociedade. " Urge que todos os países removam as leis punitivas, políticas e práticas que dificultam a luta contra a AIDS, inclusive restrições de viagens para quem é portador do HIV".
Restringir uma pessoa de viajar por conta da AIDS é o cúmulo da ignorância. Pensar que o ser humano chegou a tal ponto de falta de humanidade e respeito é lamentável porque quem o faz acaba se colocando como uma pessoa etica e moralmente muito mais doente e perigosa do que a força de qualquer vírus. Medidas assim é que contaminam a sociedade e pessoas que a apoiam são como homicidas, porque, conforme a campanha do Ministério da Saúde Brasileiro contra a AIDS, o que mata é o preconceito, não a doença. Não à toa que uma parte significativa dos desdobramentos na doença do paciente atualmente sejam de caráter psicológico, também agravados pelo descaso e preconceito do outro e, como sabem, a saúde emocional afeta diretamente o físico.

Grandes estilistas do mundo fashion e, envolvidos na perfumaria como Franco Moschino e Yves Saint Laurent apoiavam em vida ações de combate à AIDS (e oficialmente, no caso deles, eles não faleceram de AIDS), logo há um espírito solidário bem grande neste segmento. Moschino criou um projeto de apoio às crianças contaminadas com o HIV e YSL, após sua morte, teve seus objetos pessoais leiloados e os lucros convertidos para apoio de projetos de combate ao HIV na Fundação Pierre Berge-Yves Saint Laurent.

Por isso, digamos não ao preconceito, tomando como base o tema da campanha mundial que é a liderança e, agindo como líderes em mudar e influenciar pessoas a favor da luta contra a AIDS e contra o preconceito, se unindo como população consciente dos direitos humanos de que qualquer pessoa tem a liberdade de ser como é e estar como está sem discriminação, sendo respeitada em sua individualidade e identidade amparada pela dignidade que é devida a qualquer indíviduo.

Today is the World AIDS Day and what is evident in all corners in the world , in campaigns, in voices from anonymous and specialists and authorities, among people with AIDS and their family is recurrent: there is still much prejudice against individuals infected by HIV and it is extremely strong, according to the UN general - secretary Bank Ki-Moon his official announcement to the press, it is needed urgent human rights actions against AIDS spread much more than prevention, treatment and support people with HIV infection. Although the growth of epidemy has been accelerating each year, overcoming the actions against the disease, the biggest battle, the real enemy is the prejudice of the society. " I urge all countries to remove punitive laws, policies and practices that hamper the AIDS response, including travel restrictions against people living with HIV" - says the UN chief.
To make travel restrictions against people living with HIV is an awful ignorance. Thinking that some individuals in our society reach this lack of humanity and respect is very regretful because, at the end, people who contribute to these restrictions are morally and ethically much more sick and dangerous than the force of any virus. Fool attitudes that only contaminate the society and it is hard to imagine some people support these killers. Against this type of behavior , the campaign of the Brazilian Health Governement Officer relates, what kills is the prejudice, not the disease. This explains why a significant part of people living with HIV has had psychological disabilities, also due to the prejudice coming from the society and, as you may know, the emotional health affects the physical wellness.
Great fashion designers,also involved with perfumery such as Franco Moschino and Yves Saint Laurent supported when alive actions against AIDS (and , to make clear, officially they didn't die because of the AIDS) therefore there is a solidarity spirit in this fashion area. Moschino created a project supporting the children infected by HIV and YSL, after his death, had her personal stuff sold in a bid whose profits were invested at Pierre Berge-Yves Saint Laurent Foundation to support the projects and research against AIDS.
Because of that, let's say NO to the prejudice, taking as guideline the worldwide theme of this year, that is leadership and, action like leaders in changing and influencing people to fight against AIDS and the prejudice, joining us as an aware people about human rights, aware that any individual has the freedom to be what is and how is, without no discrimination and being respected in their individualities and identities supported by the dignity that is human right of any of us.
