Background: YSL lança uma nova versão perfumada e parisiense que exalta também as Rosas iniciadas com o clássico floral atalcado  YSL Paris , um dos perfumes criados pela renomada perfumista Sophia Grojsman na década de 80, uma néz que confessa ser uma amante das rosas.  Associada à perfumista Sophie Labbé, elas criaram o novo Parisienne. A  fragrância revisita a cidade de Paris e a mulher que ama e vive Paris, ela é mulher parisiense mesmo que ela tenha nascido em outro país. Paris é a cidade da sedução,  do carpe diem da mulher autoconfiante. Parisienne tem uma interpretação mais sedutora e mais moderna no mix floral mais leve exatamente para alcançar mulheres mais jovens na faixa de até 30-32 anos.

Desenvolvimento:   Algumas propagandas de perfumes são mais perfumadas que o próprio perfume e deveriam substituí-lo. Esse é o caso de Parisienne. Para estrelar a fragrância de uma mulher contemporânea e sexy em plena Paris, a top model Kate Moss aparece muito sexy sentindo um grande prazer ao sentir as rosas, ao sentir Parisienne. Dá vontade de sentir a mesma sensação que ela está sentindo, quase um gozo (erótico) aromático, no entanto a prática é bem diferente da realidade. Parisienne é um floral amadeirado mais leve que mistura o acorde rosa-violeta levemente atalcado com o toque das frutas vermelhas como a cereja e a amora. Seu desenvolvimento é mais floral que frutal, o aspecto frutado das berries não mantem a  força odorífera mais "jovial e adocicada" do perfume e o efeito mais floral das rosas com peônias reina mas não é marcante. A base é mais almiscarada, com um toque do patchuli que reforça um pouco mais o powdery da base.

 
O melhor da fragrância: O início da fragrância com um acorde vinil e a nobreza das rosas e violetas delicadamente frutadas. Esse início cria uma expectativa positiva, além da combinação agradável das violetas com berries, um traço encontrado também em alguns lançamentos mais joviais de marcas elegantes como Van Cleef & Arpels e seu novo perfume Ferrie.

O pior da fragrância:  O conceito x o resultado do perfume. É como se tivessem  tentado modernizar a fragrância com um toque floral mais leve, menos atalcado em relação a  YSL Paris, no final, o resultado foi um floral quase inexpressivo no quesito sensualidade e nem as rosas são tão exaltadas em sua mais perfumada beleza, muito menos a base ficou  mais terrena, marcante. Infelizmente, não está à altura de Paris e nem do legado YSL.

Notas: acorde de vinil, amoro, framboesa, rosa de Damasco, violeta, peônia, patchuli, vetiver, sândalo e musk.

Background: YSL releases new parisienne fragrance version that exults also roses started with the powdery classic  YSL Paris, one of the perfumes created by the renowned Sophia Grojsman in 80's, a néz who confesses deep to be a lover of roses. Associated to perfumer Sophie Labbé, they composed the new Parisienne. The fragrance revisits the city of Paris and the woman who loves and lives Paris, she is a parisien woman even she was born in other country. Paris is the city of seduction, of the carpe diem of a self-confident woman. Parisienne has a more seductive  and modern interpretation in the floral blending exactly to target  young women ranged at 31-32 years old.

Development:  Some perfume ads are more fragrant than the own perfume they advertise and should replace the scent. This is what happens with Parisienne. To stare the fragrance of a contemporaneous and sexy woman in Paris, the top model  Kate Moss appears very sexy in the advertisement feeling the amazing pleasure when feeling roses, when smelling Parisienne. The first consumer reaction is the will of feeling what she is feeling, almost an aromatic (and erotic) pleasure, however in practical ways, things are different. Parisienne is a lighter woody floral that mixes the accord rose-violet slightly powdery with the touch of berries fruits such as cranberry and blackberry. Its development is more floral than fruity, the fruity aspect of berries has not kept their odour strength, younger and sweeter, and the floral effect from roses with peonies reigns but is not remarkable. The base is muskier with a subtle touch of patchouli that reinforces a little more the powdery feature in the base.

The best of the fragrance : Its start with a vinyl accord accompaigned by the nobleness of roses and violets, delicately fruity. This start creates a positive expectation, moreover the combination of violets with berries is pleasant and a trace also found in some youthful releases in elegant brands such as Van Cleef & Arpels and its new perfume Ferrie.

The worst of fragrance:  The concept  x the result of perfume. As if they had tried to modernise the fragrance with a lighter floral approach,  less dusky in comparison to  YSL Paris, at the end, the result is a floral almost inexpressive in the sensuality matter , neither roses are exulted in their most fragrant beauty, and the poor earthy base is not remarkable enough. Unfortunately, no alignment to Paris neither YSL heritage.

Longlasting power:  7 hours

Drydown:  Musky floral

Notes: vinyl accord, cranberry, blackberry, damask rose, violet, peony, patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood and musk

Recommended for:  Women who like light florals with roses, slightly woody and powdery in the base.

A imagem da semana é o lindo poster do novo filme Cheri, baseado na obra literária de Colette e estrelado por Michelle Pfeiffer como a cortesã Francesa Lea de Lonval que ensina a arte do amor e do sexo ao jovem Cheri, interpretado pelo ator Rupert Friend. Lea de Lonval e Cheri se apaixonam perdidamente e ambos tem uma diferença de idade no qual o amor não encontrou nenhuma barreira. No poster, a cortesã segura um frasco de perfume, enquanto o jovem a beija. Sedução não conhece idade. Seduzir com perfume também não.

Cheri: O jardim tem um aroma delicioso à noite.

Lea: É a acácia rosa.

Cheri: Venha cá!

The image of the week is the gorgeous poster of new movie Cheri, based on book written by Colette and stared by Michelle Pfeiffer as the French courtesan Lea de Lonval who teaches  the art of the love and sex to the young Cheri performed by actor Rupert Friend. Lea de Lonval and Cheri  fall in love by each other and both have a considerable age difference but happily the love still survives. In the poster, the courtesan holds a perfume bottle while the young man kisses her skin. Seduction knows no age. Seducing with a perfume has no age too.

J. Lo: A inspiração para esta fragrância é o verão, o calor e a areia quente. Desde que Miami Glow foi um grande sucesso, eu queria introduzir uma fragrância "irmã" com este lançamento.

Você pode descrever a fragrância?

J. Lo: A fragrância é leve e fresca como os cheiros típicos do verão, como o coconut. Nós usamos notas frutais como o abacaxi misturado aos florais como a flor de laranjeira e adicionamos areia quente para manter a fragrância extremamente focada na idéia do sol e do verão.

Conte-nos sobre este frasco. O que este design evoca?

J. Lo: O frasco tem as mesmas curvas delineáveis do original Glow, mas é mergulhada numa cor alaranjada queimada pelo sol, no amarelo e no verde. Isso me lembra do calor terreno do verão e um dia na praia.

Você pode descrever o poster da campanha

J. Lo:  O poster tem uma incrível textura de bambu e é manchado com laranja quente, marron e toques de verde musgoso.

Esta é a primeira campanha de Glow que você esteve desde que lançou o Glow original há cerca de 5 anos atrás - você pode nos contar um pouco sobre esta campanha de marketing e porque você decidiu estar nela.

J. Lo:  A campanha foi fotografada por Peter Lindbergh em Islamorada em uma linda praia. O conceito da campanha foi capturar o que o nome significa  - Sunkissed Glow, uma mulher que irradia esta energia e sensualidade.

Como você escolheu o nome da fragrância

J. Lo:  O conceito realmente nos guiou para o nome Sunkissed Glow. Eu amo gastar o meu tempo na praia e tudo que compõe esta fragrância me faz lembrar deste sentimento de um dia na praia - um calor beijado pelo sol.

Describe the inspiration and the concept for this fragrance

J. Lo: The inspiration for this fragrance is summer, sun and hot sandy beaches. Since Miami Glow was a huge success, I wanted to introduce as sister scent with this launch.

Can you describe the fragrance?

J. Lo: The scent is light and fresh as opposed to typical scents of summer, like coconut. We used fruity notes like pineapple mixed with florals such as orange flower and added hot sands to keep the scent extremely focused on this idea of sun and summer.

Tell us about the bottle. What does the design evoke?

J. Lo: The bottle has the same smooth curves of the original Glow bottle but is washed in sunbaked orange, yellow and green. It reminds me of the earthy warmth of summer and a day at the beach.

Can you describe the carton.

J. Lo:  The carton has this great bamboo texture to it and is splashed with warm oranges,brows and hints of mossy green.

This is the first Glow ad campaign you've been since you launched the original Glow over 5 years ago - can you tell us a little bit about this campaign and why you choose to be in it.

J. Lo:  The campaign was shot by Peter Lindbergh in Islamorada on this gorgeous beach. The concept of the campaign was to capture what the name  means - a sunkissed glow, a woman who radiates this energy and sexiness.

How did you choose the name for the fragrance

J. Lo:  The concept really led us to the name of Sunkissed Glow. I love spending time at the beach and everything that makes up this fragrance reminds me of that feeling of a day at the beach - a sunkissed glow.

Perfume Review: Chergui, Serge Lutens

Muitas vezes o inesperado nos traz boas surpresas. Confesso que não tinha a menor idéia de qual perfume selecionar para a crítica de hoje, mas como nem só de programação seletiva vive o homem, em busca de algo confortável e quente dentro de um limite não agressivo ao meu olfato, e de algum perfume adequado para um dia nublado e levemente fresco, quem sabe uma rajada extasiante de cor a uma tarde cinza chumbo, encontrei um grande tesouro perfumado. Em meio a inúmeras samples de fragrâncias descubro uma que nunca tinha sentido, nem ao menos notado sua delicada beleza, identificada por Chergui.

Morocco Tobacco

Um encantador acorde repleto de dulçor e leveza traz imagens desconexas de tecidos fluídos se movendo sob rajadas contínuas de um vento morno e desértico, notas entrelaçadas de tabaco, mel e rosa são as responsáveis por essa deliciosa harmonia de formas e movimento. Sob uma cadência constante o perfume continua vivo e caminha lentamente para uma fase um pouco mais quente, leve toques de âmbar começam a aparecer trazendo consigo um musk de excelente qualidade, esse dueto animálico não é carnal no sentido sexual, ao contrário disso, o musk e âmbar de Chergui traduzem a faceta sofisticada de apreciar um quadro repleto de cor e formas, uma distorção entre o que somos e como nos vemos, neste caso, sob o conceito de Lutens o que seriam os acordes animálicos em um apelo sexual se tornam mais elegantes.

Toda essa beleza  é multifacetada. Além do confortável calor do âmbar e do musk, começa a surgir o acorde amadeirado de sândalo, levemente balsâmico, trazendo uma orientalidade mais intensa e noturna, os tecidos fluídos agora servem de adorno a corpos de pele morena que refletem sobre seus suores a luz de uma clara noite de luar intenso. Um acorde nebuloso vindo em nuvens de doce  incenso  são claramente notadas nesse momento o que deixa Chergui ainda mais fascinante.

Chergui consegue expressar originalidade de modo artisticamente perfeito, trazendo em seu cheiro uma miscelânea de sensações que variam e vibram de diferentes formas. O movimento neste perfume é constante, não há como negar que o perfume modifica-se e cria vida independente do usuário, em um mesmo dia Chergui pode possuir mil cheiros diferentes, mas todos possuirão a característica única do conforto, do calor e da sofisticação de notas muito bem trabalhadas para a obtenção de um mix digno de um pedestal em um museu de artes. O conceito criativo de Lutens consegue mais uma vez liderar o magnífico Christopher Sheldrake a criar não somente uma fragrância feita para vender, mas sim uma expressão de arte e sentimento, capaz de induzir o espectador desse espetáculo olfativo a estados alterados de consciência de si e do mundo à sua volta.

Many times an unexpected moment bring us good surprises. I confess that I had no idea what perfume should I select for today's review, but the man does not need to live with an established plan, then I looked for something  fragrant that would be comfortable and warm under a not annoying limit to my olfaction, some suitable perfume for a cloudy and softly fresh day,  from a coloured breeze to a leaden evening, I found  my precious fragrant treasure. In the middle of some perfume samples, I discovered one that I had never smelt, neither had never noticed its delicate beauty, named as Chergui.

An enchanting accord, sweet and light brings some disconnected images of fabrics moving under continuous soft and desertic breeze, notes interlaced by tobacco, honey and rose are responsible by this delightful harmony of forms and movement. This fluidness makes the perfume becoming more interesting in the course of the time, the initial sweetness is kept on the skin  and is blended to a subtle iris, slightly powdery that ends the first performance of   Chergui  on the skin.

Under a continuous cadence the perfume still is lively and develops slowly to a warmer phase with soft touches of amber that start to appear bringing  an excellent high quality musk, this animalic duet is not carnal under a sexual meaning, on the contrary, the musk and the amber together translate the sophisticated facet of admiring a painting filled by colors and forms, a   deformation between what we are and how we see us, in this case, what would be scentfully animalic with a sexual appeal, under the concept of Lutens they are modified to something more elegant, very well done with its delicateness scented trace.


All this beauty is multifaceted, besides the comfortable warmth of the amber and the musk,  the sandalwood filled by a balsamic tone brings an intense and nocturnal facet, now soft fabrics adornated  dark skins that  have reflected on their sweat the light of a clear night of intense moonshine. A misterious accord appears as clouds of sweet incense which is clearly notable in this moment that let Chergui more and more fascinating.


Chergui is successful in expressing originality in an artistically perfect way, featuring in its scent a miscellaneous of sensations that varies and vibrate in different forms. The movement of this perfume is continuous, undoubtedly the perfume changes and creates life in an independent way, apart from its wearer, in one same day Chergui can possess thousand of different scents, but all have an unique comfort characteristic, warmth and sophistication in its well made mix that really deserves being in an Art museum. The creative concept of Lutens could one more time to lead the magnific Christopher Sheldrake to create not only a fragrance to be sold, but an art and a feeling expression, able of tempting the wearer of this  olfactive spectacle to changing states of  the perception about himself/herself and the world around.
